Tantra
What Is The Tantric Practice?
Tantra is a millennia-old philosophical and spiritual tradition originating in Hinduism and Buddhism. Contrary to popular belief, it is not only about sexuality, tantra is a holistic vision of the human being that integrates body, mind, emotions and vital energy into a practice of deep self-knowledge.
Energy as a Path
In tantra, the body is not an obstacle to spiritual evolution, but its primary vehicle. Vital energy, called prana or kundalini in Eastern traditions, flows through energetic channels (nadis) and energy centres (chakras). When this energy circulates freely, we experience health, creativity, vitality and a sense of deep connection with ourselves and others.
Presence and Awareness
Tantric practice develops a specific quality of attention, a full, non-judgmental presence that allows us to experience each moment with greater intensity and clarity. This presence transforms touch, breath and movement into meditative practices that activate and direct energy consciously.
Tantric Massage
Tantric massage is one of the most accessible expressions of tantric practice in the West. It combines techniques of intentional touch, conscious breathing and energetic activation to promote a state of deep relaxation, release of chronic tensions and awakening of sensoriality. It is not an erotic massage in the conventional sense, it is an experience of meeting yourself through the body.
At The Tantric Flow
At The Tantric Flow, our affiliated therapists integrate principles of tantric practice into their sessions, adapting each experience to the needs and intentions of each person. Our private space in Lisbon was created to provide an environment of safety, trust and openness where this exploration can happen authentically.
